150 Years and Counting!
June is knocking at the door. School is out. It’s graduation season and congratulations to all of the graduating seniors from our parishes! Also in June Sacred Heart parish in St. Paris is celebrating 150 years. This momentous occasion will be marked by a special Mass at Sacred Heart on June 10th at 3:00 pm. Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr will preside, and we would love for as many people as possible from our parishes to be there to help celebrate. This Mass will fulfill the Sunday obligation for Mass attendance, and those who attend need only drop their parish envelope in the collection, or a check made out to the parish of their choice, and those donations will be included in that week’s collection for each respective parish.
This special anniversary Mass will not affect the regular Mass schedule; all of the parishes will have their regular Masses. If your schedule doesn’t allow for attending the afternoon anniversary Mass, perhaps you could join in solidarity with a special prayer for Sacred Heart parish. After all, it’s not every day a parish turns 150!
For the greater glory of God,
